Yes, Contender is an open pollinated variety so assuming you or neighbors didn't grow any other varieties that could have crossed with them they will grow true. ;)

Thanks digdirt. No one is growing green beans close to me in the community gardens where I have a couple of plots. Looking forward to planting these again next year.

Ditto for the bush limas, although I did not get many this year (just enought to snack on raw) because the mama snapping turtles came out of the river and completely dug up the lima bean bed and trashed the seedlings. Not sure if any eggs were actually laid.
