Agapanthus seeds - Storage and planting questions

Has anyone collected agapanthus seed? I collected seeds from the dried heads of my existing plants, and I must say, it was quite a take! (I know you can get new plants from dividing, but I don't want to divide what I have planted.) How should I store the seeds until planting? I know you can kill some seeds/bulbs/tubers by putting them in the refrigerator (eg. caladium) and other seeds maintain their freshness longer. Since these are a tropical I wonder, should I store these in the fridge? Or just at room temperature somewhere? In a plastic ziplock bag or what kind of container? Dry or with moisture?

What month in north Florida should the seeds be planted? Should the seeds be given a 24 hour soak in warm water prior to planting? I plan to start them in trays or small containers. What kind of medium? How deep should they be planted in the soil? How long do they take to germinate or sprout?

Thanks for the help!
