Can I save pumpkin seeds after I've baked them?

I know this will seem like an absurd question, but here goes... I baked a pumpkin today. I didn't think it would be a good specimen for saving seed. It was smallish, and probably a cross between the three varieties of heirloom pumpkins I grew. It didn't look like any of the varieties I planted. C'est la vie. I'll baked it anyway. I said.

I open the pumpkin. (I baked it whole, wrapped in foil.) It's awesome inside. Really fine flesh, low water content, thick walls for the size, sweet.

Now, I realize what a great seed it would have been. As I said, I baked it whole, wrapped in foil, at 300 degrees. Is there any hope?
