Double white dogwood

My regular dogwoods are setting red berries now. I have a double white dogwood that I would love to save the seed but there are no red berries but what looks like a bud...very pale color. Is this the seed? What should it look like when it's ready to gather?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Evelyn

Guess this one doesn't go to seed. I'll try airlayering!
