Amaranthus-seed saving question

I have this Amaranthus (I think that's what it is) growing in my yard. They get over 7 feet tall and I was wondering how to go about collecting seeds to see if anyone wants some. I went and shook the slaks a while ago and got many little black specs in the palm of my hand.

I'm guessing those might be the seeds. I'll enclose a link so you can get an idea of the plant.

That would be them. I just collected seeds tonight from one. I hold a plate under the flower and shake. If im cutting them down i put the whole flower in a paper bag until i can get to them.
