marigold seeds

I collected something that I think is Marigold. The flower head was withered but the base was not yet brown. In the gallery you can see a less withered flower & the seeds that I collected. Do these seeds appear mature? What do I do with them (I cannot store them in fridge or freezer)

Hi,
That is a marigold. The seeds appear to be mature. Though it is tough to know for sure from a pic. Good seed will not bend easy. Sometimes you will find thinner easy to bend seeds; those are not good.
It is always best to wait for the flower to become completely dry. The seeds saved will have the best germination rate that way.
You just need to store the seeds in a cool dark dry place. A fridge or freezer is not required.
