I just found a pod on one of my rose bushes that has probably been dead for about two months now. Are the seeds still viable or did I wait too long?

Does anyone have any suggestions so I know whether or not to hold onto the seeds? Please help me?!?

I think they're just fine. I read somewhere that the "perfect" time to save them is when they're between the green and orange-red stage. Seeds can live for years in some circumstances. Give 'em a shot.
