I knew I had read something on Bee Balm, after a little searching I found it.

This is a great site, she gives in detail criteria about certain flowers. Granted this is not your variety but it should give you at least an idea of the genus.

I clip the whole heads, put them in a lg ziplock bag, fill the bag with air, seal it, shake the daylights out of it. all the seeds fall out of those tubes and settle to the bottom of the bag. Scoop them out from under everything (there will be some small chaff with them, impossible to get them totally clean), and there you have it.

Thank you both so much for your help! It's raining today so I think if everything looks dry enough Friday I'm going to cut the heads off and bring them in. Maybe let them dry a few more days. Then do the baggie trick and give them the shaking of there life :)

I usually don't do very well with tiny seeds....so crossing my fingers...this will be the exception :) vina
