Cimifuga (sp?) seeds

This is my first year of growing this plant. I am in love with the fragrance of this flower! It is also known, I believe, as bugbane or snake root. I noticed what appear to be seed pods developing on the spent spikes this week. Does anyone have any info or tips on saving seeds from this plant or am I just better off waiting until it is larger and dividing it? Any advice will be appreciated.
TIA

| Does much better with dividing. Its rhizomes are thick, knotty and very dark, perfectly suited to dividing, spreading them around the garden, or giving them away to friends. |
