Collecting Duranta seeds

This year was my first experience with Duranta. The plant is beautiful and butterflies certainly like it.
The fruit has turned yellow and is starting to drop. Should it turn brown on the plant or should I be saving seeds from the fallen fruit?
Any help is appreciated.
