Hibiscus sabdariffa (roselle)

Anyone ever successfully save seeds from this plant? If so, how do you do it? Last year, I let the pods stay on the plant, but they molded. This year, I have harvested a number of the calyces for tea that have fairly large seed pods in them, which I separated from each calyx. The seeds in them are still green - will they mature if left to dry?

We are due to get freezing night temps in the next couple of days, which will kill the mother plant, so what is left on it will probably not mature.

Thanks in advance.
