| I have an annual aster -- "ostrich feather" or something very close to that.
So far it just looks like a dead/dried up flower. It this supposed to turn totally fluffy or something? Or is the "fluffy" stuff on the inside? HELP! I have no clue! LOL |

| Hi, I have Aster frikartii 'Monch' in my yard and it is *very* late to set seed. I finally saw one seed head start to turn 'fluffy' this weekend as the white fluff is emerging now. But most are still the dead, dried up things you are describing. I have a feeling by next week the poofy white top will be even bigger. I know Aster in the wild definitely have the fluffy tops (like a mini dandelion top) so give it bit more time, I think. |
