Cosmo plants

I have had some cosmo plants in my garden bed that I expect are five feet tall. They come up in the darndest places. I love cosmos, but would like them to be smaller. They have stems on them at least an inch thick, and I have a terrible time digging them out. Has anyone else experienced this? Thanks in advance - Barb

Yes! Those are the cosmos I love the best because they eventually have 100 flowers..what a show.

If you want smaller plants, get the Park Seed catalog. They have many different varieties of differing heights. Most seed companies dealing with annuals will have a choice.

Cosmos bright lights are shorter and easier to deal with. Perhaps you should post this on the annuals forum and see what varieties those folks grow.
