fushia seed pod-when to harvest

The seed pods are large (maybe 1/2") and purple/black. I squished one with my fingers and it was wet inside...how do I know when to harvest them?? Do they dry out?? Or do I need to squish the wet ones and then dry out the individual seeds???

I believe so. When they are black, the fruits are ripe, and you will have to separate the seeds like any fruit.
