Lady's Mantle seeds? (pic)

So, these Lady's Mantle seeds are confusing. I have read that they are not in a pod, but rather form at the middle of each individual tiny flower, one seed per flower. Is that correct? I put an organza bag over a LM flower, waited until everything was nice and brown, and here's what I have. Are those seeds in the flowers? Do the seeds fall off of the flower ever? If they do fall off, how can I tell if it's truly a seed in the middle, or just where there used to be a seed?

I edited this picture to reduce the contrast between the brown flowers and the white coffee filter. In doing that I slightly reduced the darkness of the thing in the center of the flower, so in reality the center is not brown but closer to a black-brown.

These little gals are tricky!

Thank you!
