How long are lily seeds viable for??

Hi :)

So I was wondering if there is a general range of how long lily seeds are good for (formosa, stargazer, trumpet, etc.)?? I would love to start collecting seeds every year for my own home which I hope to buy in 3-4 years but is it worth storing them for that long? Will they still be mostly good?

I know they take several years from seed but I am lacking in a good seedling area to hold them in so I would prefer to store them for now! :)

I'm not sure for long term storage on them at room temp. I have a feeling I read that it was not a long time. So if I were you, I would freeze them. They will stay good for many years that way. Put them in a small container with a tight fitting lid, and put them in the back to they stay frozen. When you want to sow them, let the container sit out until it comes to room temp before opening. If you open too soon, you will kill the seeds.
