Is it major or minor? I have two kinds in my yard.

The first is an evergreen variety with purple flowers in the spring. It spreads underground and through runners.

The other is grown as an annual. Mine has pink and red flowers but I know it also comes in white. I collected seed pods. The seed is about 1/16" diameter, hard, and black. Will it come true from seed? Or will the colors vary regardless of the plant I collected it from? They were mixed in a bed and cross pollinated, most likely.

Which is vinca minor and which is vinca major? I've gotten conflicting information from the internet. Thanks.
