Gardening in Shade

Need climbing vine suggestion

I just bought and moved into an inland Southern California home, zone 10. I have a rather ugly wall that gets full shade year round and would love suggestions for a flowerless climbing vine that would grow fast to cover it. The wall is right outside our patio sliding door and my husband is allergic to bees, so would prefer no flowers. (bummer for me though) I don't care for English Ivy but I love the look of Boston Ivy. I can't seem to get a straight answer about whether it will grow well in full shade. Any help would be wonderful!

Boston Ivy grows fine on the north side of my house.

Virginia creeper grows fast, and doesn't send rootlets into the brick that could cause it to break down over time. I don't know how it would behave in z10, but it is a beautiful, carefree vine here.

How about ficus pumila? I love it and hate that it's not hardy in my climate. But I'd think it would do well in so cal. Tolerant of shade, also.
