The foliage on this plant in the photo is beautiful. Does anyone grow any that has this amount of white? I want to grow this cultivar which does NOT have the brownish chevron of 'Painter's Palette,' Here's a description:

Another outstanding foliage plant. Rounder and broader leaves are most boldly splashed with cream. Highly decorative it is one of those plants that gives excellent colour throughout the season. Invaluable. 2.5 ft. That's from the website of Rowden Gardens in the UK.

Does anyone know where I can get a plant or seeds? Forestfarm states on their website that they are currently sold out. Their's doesn't show as much white on the leaves though.

Here is a link that might be useful: Persicaria virginiana. (syn. Tovara) 'Variegata'

I grow this plant. However because the plant can revert back to some green stems and then it becomes very invasive I look at the flowers for one day and then cut them off. I really only grow it for the foliage which is quite outstanding. I would be happy to send you a few roots in the fall if you remind me around early September.

It's a great pass along plant, so if you are visiting someone that has it ask if you can have seeds or a division in spring.

I picked up 'Painters Palette' from a plant swap and have divided it & moved it several times. This year found a seedling because I left seeds on. Can clip if you don't want random seedlings.

I bet seeds are shared on the seed exchange.
