Does Solomon's Seal get scraggly?

Posted by teeandcee 6a Missouri (My Page) on

I have a shady bed in my front yard. I live in a neighborhood, so the front yard landscaping must be fairly orderly and neat. I was wondering if Solomon's Seal stays neat enough looking all season or does it get scraggly?

It being deciduous isn't a problem.

Thank you!

Thanks for the link, and that was the answer I was hoping for. It's really gorgeous and perfect for this area.

Love solomon's seal. They add a lot of interest and grace to shade gardens and many people aren't familiar with them so they catch the eye.

I have lots of what I think is P. biflorum if you are interested in trading.

I love it too!!! Its the easiest plant to deal with, multiplies beautifully and is a delight. Its always multiplying and always has nice thick sturdy stalks...The only problem is it is very hard to dig it up to move it. BUT when I was moving I dug up a bunch of them to take with me, and I thought I killed them because they kept breaking with the shovel, but they just kept on truckin'...I love plants like that!!!!!
