Does this combination sound good?

My landscape designer has proposed the following:
12 Lamium 'Orchid Frost" 1qt
3 Geranium 'Brookside' 1 gal
3 Polemonium 'Stairway to Heaven' 1 gal

for the natural area under heavy shade provided by several ash, cherry and a redbud tree. This area is quite dry because of the tree canopy. The area is next to a large stone patio project that was completed last summer. I have a lot of hostas in other parts of this area. Do you think this is a good combo? Will it thrive in my conditions?

Anything with Lamium & Geranium has me hooked. I like the Jacob's ladder too. I only have damp shade so I'm not sure about their tolerance for dry.....

Not sure why you want to question the recommendation of your landscape designer.......isn't that why you hired him/her?

The combo should look very nice and is quite tolerant of drier conditions, once established.
