Best Dwarf Azalea for shade?

Posted by lcohen 6 (My Page) on

Friends, I have heard that some of the new azalear varieities do ok in predominantly shade - would love suggestions on which Azaleas and/or Rhodos have a fighting chance in an area that probably gets 2.5 hours of filterd sun and mostly shade created by a beechwood canopy (north facing).

Would also love rhodo suggestions for shade.

Thanks!
Lou

I tried them. They died. I put up a post in SHADE FORUM a while back with my woes.

I'm sorry. I think I misread your post as wanting info on dwarf rhodies for shade. Here is a link to a post I put in the RHODENDRUM FORUM. I don't know if this is what you are looking for but I did get some nice feedback about my dwarf rhodies.
