polemonium reptans question

bought the variegated p. reptans "stairway to heaven" from garden in the woods last weekend.

it still has the old growth and old buds on it.

do i leave it or shear it down or something else??

Can you cut off the old stalks and leave any new growth? I usually hack mine off after they have bloomed.
How was the garden in the woods? I've always wanted to go there.

hi von - garden in the woods was excellent!! the woods trail itself was an inspiration and very informative. and of course, the nursery has an amazing amount of native plants. i bought probably about 75% of all my natives there. it was worth the drive up!
