Grass opinions

This may not be the right place to post this, but I am looking for people that have experience with different varieties of st augustine in shady areas. I have about a 200 sq ft area on the side of my house that is just dirt at the moment, and Id like to lay sod down. This area only recieves around 2-3 hours of direct sun per day. I have had some tell me that palmetto or sapphire will do well, while others say it wont. Id love to hear from some of you that have experience with these varieties.

RE: Grass opinions

I have a shady yard here in the Atlanta area. I laid 11 pallets of Mercedes St. Augustine. Palmetto was another option, but not as cold hardy as the Mercedes. So far it looks great.
