Need advise for shade plants that Chipmunks don't like

| I have a raised bed in full shade on my deck and it seems that every plant I put in gets destroyed by my chipmunk's constant tunneling. Any plants that they won'd bother with? The bed looks funny right now because there is nothing in it.

| My on-going experience is -- Good Luck. They'll tunnel anywhere and everywhere. Newly planted and young plants are the most susceptible. Try putting chickwire around new plants and a layer of chicken wire on the surface with just a bit of mulch on top. I think we're having a banner year for chipmunks now. I've never seen so many. |

| Sprinkling bloodmeal on the surface of the soil might deter them. It certainly stops squirrels from digging. Good luck! Janet's Garden |
