What to put next to hydrangea macrophylla?

I have a nice 5 foot space in my front shady garden bed.
Right now it has a hydrangea on one side and an evergreen on the other. It's against the house and in front of it are hosta and astilbe.

I would like something that reaches the same height as my hydrangea - right now it's at 3-4 feet tall but I know it will get bigger as the years pass.

I could just put another macrophylla hydrangea next to it but I'm wondering what my other options are.

It's not exactly empty as I planted a lacecap hydrangea I received as a cutting years back that's about 18 inches tall now. But after going to the botanical gardens and seeing pictures online, I'm predicting it will get too large for that area. So I should move it to another part shade area before it gets too big to move.

Any thoughts?
