Brilliant Beacon may be a trade name used by the grower for a series of plants, like "Color Choice" & "Encore" or a random name applied to a generic Hydrangea for marketing purposes. The greenhouse growers that supply florist's, grocery stores, dept. stores & some nurseries, often have their own names for varieties of plants they grow for that market. It is apparently not a name known in the US and Euro nursery trade.

Thank you, Georgiarose. I was wondering if it was something like that. It seemed too strange when I couldn't find any information about it on Google. I guess it will be my "mystery hydrangea" and I will just have to wait and see how big it will get.
