My established shade garden has evolved over the years as a foliage garden. I have lots of spring flowers to satisfy my need for flowers after a long winter. After that, the are grown solely for their foliage. These include ligularia, brunnera, ferns, epimedium, sedum London Pride, hosta, of course, lady's mantle, hakon grass. What type of fertilizer would anyone suggest to grow the foliage the biggest, greenest and the healthiest.
