large shrubs/small trees for very little sun

What would be some good large shrubs or small trees for the north side of a house? The area gets a few hours of morning and evening sun from May - July, but very little to none the rest of the year. The very edges might stick out far enough from the roofline to get some noonday sunshine in summer as well but let's assume not for now.

The shade is bright shade the rest of the time, since it's mostly an unobstructed view of the north sky with no other large trees.

Might want to consider 'Hartlage Wine' Sweetbush (Calycanthus x raulstonii' Hartlage Wine)-- Low maintenance/high impact!

What's not to love??!!

This is a beautiful shrub (persistent bloomer) that does well in shade or part shade. The only way it could be better is if it was evergreen (LOL)
