| Has anyone grown the Japanese ornamental grass Hakonechloa in humid z7 (e.g. North Alabama)? If so, what varieties and conditions did you have and with what results? I'd like to try some in my shady area and would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks. |

| I have 7 or 8 clumps growing nicely in D.C. - zone 7. I don't know how much hotter and humid you are, but they do fine. They don't put on much growth during the season, but they come back bigger each year. |
