Getting depressed - need some inspiration

We have a really shady property. We are in the woods and the only areas of grass really are where the well and septic bed are. I have a small raised bed and a rock garden but it seems that poison ivy and weeds keep taking it over. I'm trying to keep positive that rome wasn't built in one day and next fall we will cut down more trees and let in more light but between the shade and the earwigs or ants or grasshoppers or whatever is eating my plants...my poor hollyhocks have been skeletonized...i'm losing hope.

Was hoping some shade country gardens could post some inspirational pics so I have something to look forward to or to aspire to one day.

I have 90% shade too. Not a lot of pics yet, but I'll post some when I can get a chance. I use lots of Hosta, ground covers, bleeding heart, ferns, and other shade loving & shade tolerant plants.
