'Gold Heart' bleeding heart

My gold heart dicentra did not keep it's yellow foliage over this season, it's basically green like the regular old fashioned bleeding heart. Last year as I recall it maintained the yellow foliage. Is this common for this variety? I'm disappointed as it sure brightened up a shady spot with it's vibrant foliage.

Hi Debbie,
That has not been my experience....I have mine in a totally shady spot along with a regular pink bleeding heart and they bloom for a looooong time with the foliage staying lovely til frost.
Love it.
