planting in front of vents

teenazless

We landscaped to front of our new home 2 years ago when we moved in. Everything is doing great except the plants in front of the furnace and clothes dryes vents. We really did not think about this! Anyway, the vents cannot be moved. I am trying to come up with a way to divert the hot air away from my boxwoods, grasses and hydrangeas. I need something nice looking to place into the ground about 2 feet infron of the vents to divert the air. The area is towards the back of the garden and the "diverters" would be hidden by taller plants in the summer. Any ideas?
