Aside for the Snaps coming back late in the season, you might want to put something in the bed that blooms after midsummer?

I don't have alot of expereince with very moist soil so I can't comment on that. The bed sounds very pretty to me but its nice to have stuff that carries you into autumn too.

Hi Cathy,
Although I now live in Zone 7 I gardened for years in OH. I believe that if you have a garden where snaps and foxglove thrive, you do NOT have a shady garden site -- you must get a fair amount of bright sunlight. If this is the case, you could grow fall mums, asters and zinnias that would flower till frost. Another fall beauty would be tuber dahlias, though as I recall, they need to be dug up before winter & stored.
