I have an area in my garden that I would like to grow vegetables in but it is mostly in the shade on bright days it does get some sun, the shade is caused by my neighbours tall shrubs which form her boundery. Which vegetable can you suggest that would grow well, it isn't a large area about 6' by 8'. Thanks

Sorry, I know of no veggie that grows with less than full sun.

Try growing lettuce. It does need some sun, but it will have larger leaves and taste sweeter if it is shaded during the hottest part of the day. If the lettuce won't grow, probably not many vegetables will. If you want fruit, nannyberries (viburnum lentago) are supposed to do well in shade.
