Linnea Borealis in PA? Where can it be found to buy?

I have fallen in love with Linnea Borealis, but it is no where to be found. I would love to put this in a special place in my garden, but I can't seem to find any place that sells it in the Pittsburgh area. Does anybody have any idea where I can purchase it? I will travel, or buy online! Thank you in advance for your help.

You may have picked a tough one. Twinflower is endangered in many places, which may be a reason it's tough to find. I searched online, and didn't find a single source. There are two GW members who list it on their Plants to Trade lists: Elaine8 Lauraann You might drop them a note.

If you do find a source for it, are you sure you are going to be able to grow it? It prefers a cool climate. I have tried it and failed. Friends in Ithaca grew it for a number of years until it petered out.

I hope that it does thrive. I am not in the city at all - I am closer to the Butler area, which is generally cooler. In addition, the spot I have is usually 5-10 degrees cooler than the rest of the yard (I can't figure out why.) It is in shade with only diffused/dappled sunlight and is moist, but not too boggy all the time and the soil is fairly acidic. This seems to be what is described on all of the sites, but to tell the truth, I can't find diffinitive information about its habitat. Any growing information would be helpful. My fingers are crossed.
