How much shade will wax myrtle take??

I want to plant a wax myrtle hedge at wood's edge in the back yard. We want an evergreen hedgerow for screening from the neighbors and also for cover for wild birds.

This area gets dappled shade as well as a few hours of direct sun. Will the wax myrtle do well here? MS z7.

I would appreciate your help.
Michele

Yes, will take half day shade - dappled or filtered shade such as occurs at the edge of a woodland should be fine.
