do you plan on using any type of grow light? if not i dont know how much success you will have trying to grow your plants indoors until april. also i dont think corn likes to be transplanted it is best to sow it directly in its permanent home.

I'm assuming that you will have formal lighting under your bed for these plants. You might want to get a sleep mask (the eye cover) if this'll be on while you need to sleep.

Sometimes seedlings can mean a few bugs but in a perfect world, not many...

I recommend since this is a new setup, your time is probably limited and your conditions hardly ideal, that you avoid the more Miss Priss varieties that really need some babying (like tomato and pepper) and stick with things that (a) grow fairly large, and (b) grow fairly easily.

So on that count, you might start easy growers such as basil and zucchini.
