What is it!

My Mom has had a plant in a container on her porch for decades that she calls it a pink, verigated creeping charlie. It does resemble a charlie in leaf shape but the leaves are fuzzy and the coloring is green and white striped with a pinkness to the white areas. I would like to find a place to purchase this plant but I don't know the name and my searches for charlies never show anything like it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Why don't you take cuttings. You could have 4 or five going by Aug.

at least around here varieites of Dianthus are refered to as creeping charlie or as pinks (becasue the flowers look like someone took pinking shears to the petals) i dont know if searching for Dianthus would help you ID the variety you have? or if i am just telling you somethign you already knew?

Sounds like a form of ground ivy, glechoma hederachea? It should root fine in water.
