He11 strips aren't so bad....

After a criminally lax year-long layoff, I started up my morning walk thru the neighborhood this morning. I think I do a lot with my small yard, but I have to say, I'm super impressed with what some apartment dwellers in my neighborhood do with their small space -- even the no-man's land strip between the sidewalk and the street.

Took a few snaps for inspiration, and just had to share them with you. This is far and away the most amazing:

It's not just the he11 strip, they also have plants crowding up agasint the porch:

This place makes a virtue out of a necessity: underneath the pyramid of zinnias there's some sort of green metal box (-- utility something?)

Even deep shade doesn't stop some gardeners. This one just glows!

Just thought I'd share what some others are doing with their small spaces!
