Is this bare dirt? You could mulch it with wood chips or compost (or compost first and wood chips on top) and it would likely absorb the odor.

It wasn't bare dirt, in fact, that was where we piled up lots of shredded tree cuttings. so it was heavily mulched.

Sigh.

Spray diluted vinegar OR dust with baking soda. Changes the pH and neutralizes odor. Apply as need but limit yourself to spraying or dusting.

Vinegar is used to neutralizaed the pee of female dogs in lawns.

The odor may just be the smell of nitrogen/ammonia from decomposition of the tree cuttings. It probably will dissipate in time, but adding something brown - carbons, like a dry wood chip mulch in the area may help offset the Nitrogen odor.

doubt it would be where workers pee'd that would not last more than a day or 2 if it occurred, more likely from something that was mulched there. so sort of carry on regardless, smell won't hurt you.
