5 Year Garden Planner

Hello,

I am looking for a source of a 5 year garden planner, one that has five years of data all in one place, so I can look at what happened last year or the year before at any point in the year. I've seen business planners at some of the office supply sites but I'm sure I've seen a journal that is geared to gardening. Any recommendations would be great!

I've found that for most record keeping, a three ring binder with tabbed dividers suits my needs best. Then I can arrange the information according to my preferences, and don't have to sort through someone else's idea of the perfect notebook.

One of my 4-H members actually brought this to my attention a few years ago, when she was teaching scrapbooking to the younger kids. Smart girl!! The ability to move information around if one realizes it would be better suited elsewhere is good. Not to mention, it's much less expensive.

Of course, I also keep lots of records right on my laptop. 4-H kind of stuff anyway, as I need that out 'in the field,' at 4-H events. Might be the same for a landscape professional, (which I am not.) I still like pencil and paper for taking into the garden. Mud gums up my laptop ;-)

Lee Valley sells a 10 year garden planner that I think is terrific. A bit of a hefty book, but has all sorts of record keeping options, from daily to monthly to yearly, as well as a place to keep track of garden purchases.

Carole,

Thanks very much for the tip, I will definitely check it out. I'm surprised it's that rare an item with all the gardeners out there!
