Hi,

I'm looking for sources for Kalahari Devil's Claw (Harpagophytum procumbens).

Thanks,

Has been listed by Guy Wrinkle/Exotic Plants. Try rareexotics.com.

Hi Ron B,

Thanks for the website referances. I was unaware of RareExotics.com. What an amazing source for "plant oddities"! It doesn't list Harpagophytum though. When I searched "Devil's Claw" it came up with about a dozen plants I've never even knew existed, but not the Kalahari Devil's. I'm a South African bulb enthusiast, so this site is a great one for me to catalog for future reference. Many of the listed species are in my affordable range, but the Cyclantheropsis parviflora at $75.00 is out of sight of my budget. And it's sold out! I'd love to meet some of the big botanical spenders out there, just to learn a little about their culture (the collectors', not their plants'). Ah well, there are enough more common but nevertheless fascinating plants around to keep me moderately satisfied.

So my search is still on, but I think it's good to always have an elusive plant to chase after.

I just learned about Telos Rare Bulbs a couple days ago--don't know if they have the bulb you're looking for but they have a large selection of South African bulbs and might. I can't bear to go back there and check for you--too many things I want! But I'm sure you'll enjoy browsing.
