Pecan tree

Posted by jennifertacca Texas (My Page) on

The Pecan has not let anyone eat it's nuts. I don't know what to do with it either and now there are cocoons on the leaves with worms and tiny flies inside of it.
The bark is shedding all and I have not trimmed, nor do I know how. There are still some shells left on the tree which are cracked and black. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

RE: Pecan tree

take one of them to your garden center, they can get you the correct insecticide to spray.
Make sure you clean up all the old leaves and pecans as the pests will overwinter in them on the ground and you never get rid of them. You are probably going to have to spray multiple times over a period of time to get them under control.
