I purchased a home 4 years ago. Ever since, whenever heavy rain falls, i get water down in my basement. We dug a french drain along the foundation falls to divert the water off to the street from the back of the garden. Because of the slope, the start point of the drain is really high.

I was wondering if it would be possible to install a sub-pump. Then, I will hook the pump to the drain. If so, where do i get more information about the type of sub-pump i will need? Also, will it be possible for the sub-pump to run automatically once the water reaches a certain level?
