looking for a source for creeping thyme seed

We have an area that we wish to put into ground cover and are in need of a cover that is "deer-resistant". I have read on several sites that creeping thyme just might fill the bill! Now, I need to know approximately how much seed we will need to cover an area 40 ft. x 100 ft. and where to find it. Can anyone help me out?? Any information will be appreciated a great deal!!
