 o
new to gardening, beach sand for soil

I AM NEW TO GARDENING, BUT I THOUGHT I WOULD TRY. I LIVE IN CENTRAL WISCONSIN, JUST PAST WISCONSIN DELLS. WE HAVE VERY SANDY SOIL, ALMOST COMPARED TO BEACH SAND. WE PLACED 600 LBS OF AG LIME ON THE GARDEN AND TILLED IT IN. I ALSO PLACED SOME 10-10-10 ON THE PLANTS THAT WERE TRANSPLANTED. I AM WONDERING IF ANYONE CAN GIVE ME SOME ADVICE IF THINGS DON'T TURN OUT WHAT I SHOULD ADD TO THE SOIL. I HAVE SEEN PEOPLE POST GRASS CLIPPINGS, BUT GRASS DOES NOT GROW VERY WELL IN THIS AREA AND THERE ARE A LOT OF WEEDS.

THANKS FOR ANY HELP.

I recommend that you post your question in the Soil, Compost & Mulch forum, as the experts there will have answers for you. Not in all caps, though, please.
