I am looking for a metal umbrella source - I live in an area with wind in the summer and I want something for shade that is heavy and can withstand the wind. Something bright and colorful for my farm. I want the whole umbrella to be metal not just the stand - I have seen them at some hamburger stands before but not recently. thanks.

hi springville. i like the metal umrellas too,but i have'nt seen newer ones. there are some giant umbrellas out now with space at the top for wind to escape. i am new to g.w. i am in soutern sierra nevada mountains. your project sounds fun. i am hoping to get some kind of money making thing going from my growing. nothin/ g comes to mind yet. right now i am growing cool season crops under plastic "pup ten ts".

We have lots of metal umbrellas from the 70's and 80's but would like to add to them and am also unable to find a source for them. they hold up much better than the new ones? Anyone find some yet?
