Does anyone have a source of Kangaroo Paw that will ship? I know they won't want to grow here in zone 5 but I'd like to try- I absolutely love the blooms!

You'll definitely have to grow it under cover. Maybe outside in summer, near sunny window in winter. Have you searched using genus name Anigozanthos?

I don't know if this will help you or not, but I recently bought one (about a month ago or so) at Home Depot of all places. They may not have them in your area, but you might be able to get them to transfer one? It only cost like $6 or so, for a gallon sized plant. I picked up a pink one, but they also had a lemon-lime type color and also a rusty red colored one.

Also: once I figure out where the seeds are and when to harvest them, you're more than welcome to whatever I come up with! I love kangaroo paw too! I can't even tell you the glee with which I jumped up and down (and I'm a big girl, lol) when I saw it at H.D.!

You're a stitch, Amanda! And yes, I'd love some seeds if you see them. And yeah, I'd jump up and down too if I found one!

If you are interested in a seed source, J.L. Hudson carries them.

catalog page with Anigozanthos- http://www.jlhudsonseeds.net/SeedlistAL-AN.htm

Here is a link that might be useful: J.L. Hudson seed catalog
