I doubt if you will be able to find any that is already aged. There is a horse stable on Norwood Ave. that has the manure and straw from the stables. I think it's free, if you come and haul it away. I don't know if it would be considered aged.

I live in Alabama but I wrote to my county extension office and they helped me find someone to deliver 6 tons of compost. Maybe you could email yours and they could help.

I live in Huntsville AL area and was hoping someone might know where I can buy bulk compost. I need more than I can generate to start out with. Any help is greatly appreciated. I need to make sure it chemical free compost, I read somewhere that the cotton and mushroom compost is full of pesticides. A nursery center or something would be ideal.

Our city has Waste Management that picks up lawn refuse, chipping branches, etc. as they go. This is all piled up at the county landfill, and anyone can go pick it up free for the loading. Some Saturdays, they even have a frontloader. It can be full of weed seeds, but as long as you use a good mulch, this is a minimal problem, considering all the benefits. Sometimes it's well aged and sometimes not, but either way it's alot better than nothing.
